Alpha Omicron Pi

Alpha Omicron Pi's greatest strength is their members, unique as individuals, yet bound together by the common bond of friendship. There mission statement is “Women Enriched through Lifelong Friendship”. WVU’s Sigma Alpha chapter was established in 1986. AOII has only one color, cardinal. It is the color of the Fraternity flower the rose and the ruby. While not an official symbol, AOII considers the Panda to be its mascot.  National Headquarters’ is located in Brentwood, Tennessee.

One of the founding principles of Alpha Omicron Pi is to be of service to others - to bring into the world around us a spirit of love, not for self-glory, but as an opportunity to give something back to our communities. AOII International Philanthropy supports Juvenile Arthritis Research. WVU’s philanthropy begins November 12, 2009. The WVU chapter also organizes Battle of the Sexes that incorporates all Sororities and Fraternities in effort to raise money for West Virginia University Cancer Research in the spring semester.
